What we list
Funding programs, lenders, accelerators, investors, crowdfunding platforms, community lenders, regulators and tax-credit programs that are relevant to founders in Canada and, for investors, the USA. Inclusion is not an endorsement, and no one pays to be listed.
Verification status
- Verified: the details shown were read on the organization’s official page on the date checked.
- Partly verified: some details were confirmed on an official page; others come from news or third-party pages.
- Unverified: the profile comes from our records and the official site could not be read. Websites on these entries are labelled “unconfirmed”. Confirm everything before using it.
Contacts
Contact details are organization-level only: a general email, main phone, office address or contact page that the organization publishes itself. We do not list private individuals’ details and we never guess an email address or web address.
How investor ranking works
The investor finder reads your description in your browser, detects your sector and stage, and compares them with each investor’s published focus. A sector match counts most, then stage, then geography; ties are broken in favour of entries with verified details. The result is an estimate of fit. It does not mean an investor has expressed interest, and it ignores things we cannot see, such as the firm’s current fund size or recent portfolio conflicts.
Rules and legal summaries
Summaries of securities rules and tax credits are taken from regulator and government pages, with the figures as published on the date shown. They are general information, not legal advice. Where a point could not be confirmed, the page says so.
Keeping it current
Programs open, close and change terms often. Every entry shows when it was last checked. If you spot something out of date, please report a correction with the official link.
Independence
Recommendations are not influenced by payment. Any commercial relationships will be disclosed on the relevant page.
